Looking for advice plz. Just built my son a new pc after a lot of research, and need advice on best type of monitor for this build plz
Specs of pc are
i7 12700k
32gb DDR5 Kingston fury beast
Asus Z690-A mobo
Geforce RTX 3060 ti
H150i elite capellix
3x ML 120mm
7x QL1120mm
CPU Asus 850 plus gold

That build kind of falls in between 1080p and 1440p. What games is he looking to play? And what framerates and settings?

Hi thanks for your reply I'm not sure yet let you know when he comes in, does it fall into 1080p & 1440 because of the GPU.

Yes, it is a good GPU, but isn't top of the line. That said, the games in question are more important. GS:GO looking at 500 FPS, Battlefield 2042, probably in mid 60 FPS with a lot of the visual settings turned up to high, at 1080p, though 1440p might surprise us there, certainly a more CPU dependent game, at least for now.

Another question would be the type of gamer. MMOs, FPS, RTS, Simulators. Should you focus on refresh rate, 240hz+ or higher resolution or an ultrawide for the better surround.

How much you have to spend is also a factor.

That’s a useless link, doesn’t tell you anything about each monitor. You are much better off looking at the YouTube channel Hardware Unboxed or the site rtings.com that provide detailed reviews and justify their list of recommended monitors.
