What is the best motherboard for i7 3930k CPU? I do not plan to over clock. Some of the reviews of motherboards scare me... how they arrive dead or have issues booting up. I am going to have a gtx 680 and 32gb of ram too.

Thanks in advance!

um, electronics being dead on arrival isn't the fault of a manufacturer, it's typically due to bad packaging by the seller or poor handling during shipping. sadly it's just a fact of the modern manufacturing system and we all need to deal with it once in a while.

also, why buy a 3930K now? Ivy bridge -E should be coming in a few months

Hmm, not overclocking. If you really want the two extra cores and the ram bandwidth stick with the LGA2011 platform and the 3930k.

For feature rich boards I like to stick with ROG ASUS boards.

But for cost/performance. You would be better off with an i7-3820 on LGA2011, save you 300 bucks and you could keep the quad channel ram.
Or a i7-4770 on an LGA1150 board, again a savings of about 350-400 bucks over a 3930k.

For even further savings, you could drop down to ivy bridge LGA1155 boards and chips. i7 3770 is $300 flat.
