I'm looking into getting the i7 4790k with liquid cooling(H100i) and was woundering what motherboard to be paired with that and my GeForce gtx 780. I was looking at the msi z97-g45 gaming but i don't really know that much about building so any recommendations would be nice. I mostly do gaming, streaming, editing videos, which is y I want to be able to play on ultra and get the highest fps I can achieve. Thank u I'm advanced

MSI boards are Terribly and they have the worst quality control me and my friend both had z77 Mpowers both went out after almost 2 years and mine was on idle his went out and went on fire

TBH i would go with the VII Hero Overclocking with it is just that awesome it has insane stability Voltage wise

and if black bird was here im pretty sure he would recommend the Hero coz he has one XD

edit: if it is for gaming and overclocking u cant beat the Hero IT Overclocks like crazy( if u have a nice chip)

has Awesome Audio if u dont have a sound card

VII Hero Is The One I Would Get With An i7,Go For It

It's The Beast In Performance And Gaming,Get It...You Can Overclock This CPU Too And Getting A VII Hero Motherboard With This Is Best

200FPS? i think that guy has his AA turned down

anyway the FPS debends on your Screen refresh rate if it is 60 u wont see above 60

if it is 120 u wont see above 120

if u want to play @ 120 FPS u will need to get a monitor that supports that refresh rate

Depends On Monitor's Refresh Rate And Your Build,Build Is OK But Most Of Monitors Are Of 60Hz I Don't Know What's Your's But Dell Has Made A Monitor With 144Hz Refresh Rate(That IS MAXIMUM)

Yes,Go For It To Get Best Performance,And It's A Futureproof Gaming Build So That You Can Run Future Games Also At Max

tbh tho there are a couple of coolers that are better than the H100I if your case fits

go with noctua NH-D15 If u dont like a huge hunk of metal hanging from your mobo

go with a NZXT Kraken X61 ( it is 280MM instead of 240MM ) and has better stock fans just make sure ur case fits

if u need 240MM than go with the H105I i have the h100I my self and it is running strong for 2 years now

the rubber endings did come off tho and Corsair will replace them if they did even tho they are just for looks

there is also the H110 if u want to stick with corsair

I would go with the Corsair 850HX... (here is the forum ranking... http://rankedpsulist.dabbledb.com/publish/rankedpsulist... based on this thread: http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/278567-28-ranked-list... )

Rest All Is Fine,Hope This Helps

Well, if you are considering Msi Z97 - G45 ...you can go for Msi Z97 Gaming G - a solid board with all the features, upgrades you need with 2 way sli - 3 way crossfire. It's sound is great & gives great performance at a reasonable price. It gives xj split gamecaster license too for 6 months....and that's the board i bought last week with i7 4790k and i extremely satisfied with it. best bang for the buck with ultra performance.
