Hi all,

I just bought a 27" QHD with hdmi and DP for my work laptop (thinkpad x1 yoga)) but I also have a home PC used for general office/web browsing/photo editing (no gaming) which I've just realised only has a VGA socket!

PC is a i3-3240T with intel HD graphics 2500. Apparently the integrated graphics supports QHD through a DVI but bit lost as to why I only have a VGA output.

The PC only has 6gb RAM and sometimes photo editing it a little slow (but not awful).

Hoping someone can help point me in the right direction - either the cheapest way to get my computer and screen linked with QHD or a whether its worth buying a better graphics card to help also support the photo editing (or on fact whether this is pointless due to the rest of the specs))

Read that the Gefore 1gb GT610 should do a job and only £10-15 used?

Many thanks for any help :)

Chris

Hi,

It looks like the geforce gt 610 and 710 would work in my machine and give me the resolution I need. Also the Radeon HD 7770?

My PSU says 350w max (peak).

Any thoughts on best one?

Thanks
