I am looking for a setup that would be able to run VR games on high settings on HTC Vive. I can spend whatever amount is necessary but of course would not like to overkill it. Which of these options would you go for? I added the costs in Sweden.

Before you suggest me to order from USA, I would have to add 25 % tax plus what ever the shipment cost is. So, it would probably be be just as expensive.

- RX 480 8 GB ($330)
- GTX 1070 8 GB ($580)
- 2x RX 480 8 GB ($660)
- GTX 1080 8 GB ($850)

If you can afford it and are willing to spend the cash, the 1080 is the most future proof and best there is. The card is an all around monster that you wont want or need to replace for many years to come.

If you dont want to spend $800 on a gpu...

If you dont want to spend $800 on a gpu but still want excellent performance, get the 1070. It will play VR games really well and will probably last several years also.

If you want to be budget conscious, get the RX 480. You can play VR games with this card at an affordable price. You can also game at 1440p no problem, so all around a great budget choice. I don't know if I would bother buying two of these for crossfire straight away. One should be more than plenty for now. As more games are released with dx12 maybe you will want to add a second one, but perhaps by then there will be something newer and better and more affordable?

Also, you could check for prices on the gtx 970, gtx 980, gtx 780ti in sweden. All of those gpu's will also play VR well for you and maybe you could find them at more reasonable prices since they are not the new hot items.

Hope this helps, best of luck!
