Start -> Run -> MSCONFIG -> Boot -> Advanced options... -> Maximum memory = Checkbox must be unchecked. If that's already the case, check it and set the value to 4096. Should be fine then. The "Memory Remap" BIOS option would immediately solve this, but it seems that, for some reason, your board really lacks the feature. I have found many threads about this problem with this board. Vista x64 runs OK with your config, but Windows XP x64 and Windows 7 x64 don't, apparently.

That was the first thing I looked at but it makes no difference, but thanks for your input.
