Hello,

I am looking for a prebuilt PC to buy for £2,000. Can anyone suggest a good website/PC to buy for this amount in the UK only?

Looking to game on PC with the best settings possible and some Triple A games.

Thanks.

i checked various vendors in the UK and the best system i could find for the money is this one :

13600k(f) is the best gaming cpu on the market right now along with ryzen 7700x (i5 is a bit faster , ryzen is a bit more power efficient)

you can push the graphics to rtx 3080 (which is around 15% faster in 2K and 15-19% faster in 4K)
but pre build systems in your budget range with this graphics card have outdated processors in them .

some of the vendors offer you an option to configure your own system which they will build for you ,
but this option is usually even more expensive than buying the systems they already have pre build

@dark_globe's suggestion is good but if you wanted a 3080 you could go with this.
https://www.scan.co.uk/3xs/configurator/3xs-gamer-3080-intel
You have to do some extra configuration on the site swapping to a 13600k and 32GB of ram rather than 16GB but if you don't need a Windows license at full price you can get it for £1870.

thanks this actually looks good. I have been looking at some reviews and is Scan a good website to buy computers from? As some people say they are bad and have problems with the PC once arrived?

Has anyone else got any good PC's to recemend to me to buy PRE-BUILT for £2,000. For gaming.

Personally I would wait until January 3rd when Intel releases their locked cpu's and B760 / H770 boards. Great performance and it would save you some money.

@danielm175 I posted a link to PC Specialist in my previous post. If you have a local PC repair shop nearby they will usually build a PC for you for a small fee if you bring them the components. Here's an example of a gaming build that will tear it up at 1080P.

I have never bought a Pre built from them but have been buying components from them for 20 years+ and have never had any issues.

It is difficult to recommend a specific pre-built gaming PC for 2022 as the best option will depend on your budget and performance needs. Here are a few things to consider when looking for a pre-built gaming PC:
  1. Processor: Look for a powerful CPU that can handle the demands of modern games. Some good options for gaming include Intel Core i5 or i7, or AMD Ryzen 5 or 7.
  2. Graphics card: Choose a dedicated graphics card from a reputable manufacturer, such as Nvidia or AMD. The graphics card will be responsible for rendering the graphics in your games, so a high-performance card is important.
  3. Memory: Make sure the PC has enough RAM to run your games smoothly. 8GB is a good starting point, but 16GB or more is better for demanding games.
  4. Storage: Look for a PC with a solid-state drive (SSD) for the operating system and frequently-used programs, as well as a traditional hard drive for additional storage.
  5. Cooling: Good cooling is important to keep your PC running smoothly and to extend its lifespan. Look for a PC with a good quality cooling system.
  6. Warranty: Check the warranty offered by the manufacturer to make sure you are covered in case of any issues with the PC.
8GB is not enough for gaming, it's barely enough to use windows these days.
