Hello everybody! I just wanted to ask what brand is good to buy RJ45 crimper from? I found few on amazon which was:
Datashark
Klein Tools
Fluke Networking
Paladin

Does anybody had a good experience with those brands? what is the best one to buy? Many thanks for your help.

Solution
I would get a Paladin. Then probably Fluke and Klein next. Even Ideal has decent crimpers. Good quality RJ45 plastic pieces are important. Sometimes a particular batch of ends won't work well with a specific crimper.

Can youu recommend the model and also the good plugs? Thank you for your help.

Is this for home use or are you planning on doing network installation as a business? The requirements for home use and 10 terminations a year are very different from 10 per hour ...

Best bet is for you to go look at them at a store. Terminating cables is a practiced skill, a experienced cable installer can use those $15 crimping tools and a knife and get great connections.

Most the better tools are designed to cause less hand fatigue by using things like ratcheting mechanisms and better leverage with less hand pressure. They also are designed to prevent you from over compressing the connection and damaging it.

The most important part quality wise is the head that actually presses the pins down in the plug. This is made from tool steel and the better tools use higher quality steel. This is mostly a wear issue and it depends if you feel you could ever make enough cables to wear the head out. Most can be replaced but that part costs a huge percentage of the tool itself.

Mostly it is going to be which you like the feel of in your hand.

Thank you for your reply, i am planning to use for both, business and home use.I can get 2 different crimpers one for the business and one for the home use as long as they will do decent job.

For occasional use, it is probably less critical, but for daily use in a commercial setting, I will second bill001g's recommendation of going to a large electrical supply or industrial supply and holding them. The size of your hands plays a major factor. I have large hands, what is comfortable to me may not be to you.

I do prefer ratcheting crimpers. It is less likely that you will have a bad crimp because you have to fully crimp before the ratchet releases.
