Best Router for Solid Walls (Log Cabin)

I live in a log cabin with actual solid cedar log walls. I have tried all kinds of positioning for the router I currently have, but it hasn't helped that much. Think I need a more powerful router, but I'm not sure HOW powerful, or which one.

Any recommendations on what router may be best? Again, I'm needing to penetrate 6-8" solid log walls with a strong WiFi signal that reaches outdoors as well.

Thanks.

Current WIFI routers all have the same power, by govt regulation. And getting the signal from the router to your device is only half the battle. Your device has to penetrate the same walls. You will probably have to add multiple WIFI sources to get good coverage. Was any conduit installed for low voltage cabling when the cabin was built?

Unfortunately, no, no conduit. I have snaked Ethernet cable through the attic though through most of the house and have currently a second bridged router running. It's just problematic and annoyin at times, having two wifi networks only about 25' away from each other (it's only a 1500 sq ft house). Would be really nice to just have one network.

I've heard the Nighthawk routers are really good and could help, but a) I'm not sure how or why they'd be better, and b) there are a few models and I'm not sure which would be best.

Any suggestions maybe for just which ones have the best range?
