Question Best Second hand GPU for phenom x4 955

Hi all,

I have a very old rig, containing amd phenom x4 955 and 8 gigs of ddr3 1600mhz, and gtx 560ti

I was planning to buy an old Gpu. I am confused b/w 4 gpu's i.e rx 570, rx580, 1050ti, 1650. Please guide me. Not planning to upgrade cpu for now.

I'd say the highest you can go in the GTX series would be a GTX 1050.

I'm not as familiar with AMD so I will leave that alone.

The GTX 1050 uses power from the MB so you don't need an external power plug.

There are lots on EBay.

The 580 is the better GPU of the group, followed by 570, 1650 and the 1050ti. The 580 will use a lot of power though, so you will need a decent PSU (500watt) to run it.

A used 570 would probably make the most sense to pair with that CPU as they CPU will hold you back.

Yeah, I have a cooler master 650W PSU.

Then you can get any of those GPUs. It really just depends on what you can afford.

The 570 is the best bang for the buck in my opinion, handily beats 1650 in many games.

The question is just how badly it would be bottlenecked by CPU. Phenoms weren't bad. Around same performance as FX-series, if you could clock em as high.
