You gotta love samsung 10 year warranty for their ssd. That's a broad statement for consumers that they have put short life and failure rate of ssd in the past. apps loading up in 1-2 seconds... games loading in no time. I was so skeptical of pros of ssd in gaming but that loading times are noticeable a lot... ofcourse it is game specific but when you play some game and you have to load game from time to time and it's 5s instead of 20-30s or 20s instead of minute. Few games suffering from long loading times or detail pop in when doing fast turns... all this removed by ssd. Don't get me wrong you get no performance benefits from ssd (outside of cases where game supports texture streaming) but my gaming quality and enjoyment improved significantly.

What am I missing? So which is the best M.2 SSD? Which M.2 SSD is the best buy for 512GB or 1 TB? I do not see anything. OK, if I didn't have an mITX board, and wanted mSATA, you say Samsung EVO is a best bet. Thanks. But no recommendations on M.2?

i bought a ready made system with the samsung 256gig 840 and i looooove ssd drive will never have a platter hard drive as my main again have a 2 tb platter for storage but the SSDs rule in my book and they can only get better.

new crucial is amazing other than terrible write speed 🙁

btw: Game loading times barely get any difference from ssd in my computer, only game that makes a different in ssd is wow, it gets like half ! and tf2's first time start gets shorter ! (also almost half) other than that my other stuff are SO awesome 😀 best upgrade ever ! (a year ago i bought intel 520 120gb)

Why there is no Crucial m550 128GB? It's about 10$ more than mx100 128GB, and speeds are similar to mx100 256GB.

Stupid Review !!!.. No PLEXTOR M6 Pro in 512GB and 1TB Benchmark.!
Why not Benchmarking plextor 512GB in mSata.? Scared..huh?

Budget vs performance ??!!! even my grandma can make review like this !
128GB vs 1TB ?
ramdom speed ?
Intel 7 series ?
very very funny........

Am I reading these tables correct: larger capacity SSD's have better write performance?
Compare for example write performance in the above tables of Criucial MX100. They go up when storage size goes up (128-256-512 GB). In the 512 GB version they even come close to read performance.
Is this correct, or is it some kind of artiface of this type of testing?
Is it noticable in real life?
Why is this? I knew that, when an SSD is almost full, that write speed slows down. But also on a 50% empty drive?
