Question Best Tablet for reading articles & running Microsoft Word ?

Good afternoon,
I don't know if this is the right forum for my question (if not, please redirect me to it), I'm a reddit pure newbie.
I currently own a Samsung S5E.I use it to read a lot of articles for my academic needs. I wish to upgrade it to something compatible with pens/with a better display. I don't have a laptop therefore the optimum would be to buy a tablet device that would allow me to read articles and to run Microsoft Word.

I ordered 2 months ago the Ipad Pro 2021 12.9 with its magic keyboard. The OS limitations made me sick so I returned it. I loved the product and the hardware though, but the screen was probably too big for me to read articles comfortably.I ordered 2 weeks ago the Surface pro 8 and its keyboard. I love the device and of course I love the Microsoft OS. However, the 13" is too big to read articles as well.
Therefore I wonder what I should get.... I am lost.

These are my questions:

1. Should I get a Samsung S7 11" and a mid-range laptop? I'm kind of disappointed the S7 doesn't have an OLED display, I really love the fact the S5e doesn't have any afterglow.
2. Or should I get a Samsung S7+? Won't the 12,4" be too big to read articles? Are the dimensions comfortable for that purpose?-
3. Shall I wait for the S8 tablets to be released?
4. I also heard about the Lenovo 11,5" and the fact there are convertible laptops like the HP 360 Spectre.
5. I would like a Pen that it's possible to configure to switch between two tools in a PDF reader for example.

I'm mainly hesitating between S7, S7+ and wait for the S8.
The OLED of the S7+ attracts me a lot as I hate reverse ghosting. At the same time 12,4 might be a little too big to read academic articles? But also since the tablet is tall and way lighter than the Surface, might it be good?

I want something I can hold in my hands without being too heavy
