Best Thief Proof PC Case

Hi, please help.
I am an amateur music producer. In the past I have had my house broken into and my music compositions copied and stolen from my internal hard drives stored on my computer.

I am about to start recording / writing again, am would like to prevent any further thefts from happening, so I would like to put my PC into the most theft proof case possible.

I was wondering if any one knew of any PC cases that are designed specifically to prevent data theft. Ideally I am looking for a case that has a design that completely stops any one from opening the case and accessing the hard drives. As, I know that even if a person can not log on to a pc, they often can copy the data contained on a hard drive if they can gain access to the hard drive it self.

Now, I am not too keen about the security proof cases that use the anti theft locks on, as keys to these locks are easily available. So I am ideally looking for a case that I can put heavy duty padlocks on, which need key and code to access.

Would be grateful for any advice.

Just use full disk encryption on your data disk. They can boot the PC, but without the appropriate key they have nothing but garbage. Get a fire safe, that has capabilities for a NAS. Bolt the safe down for your backup copy.

You can get Hard Drives with built in encryption but BIOS supporting them is rare outside of laptops

BitLocker full disk encryption software is available in Ultimate / Enterprise versons of Windows 7 or 8 pro and motherboards with TPM chips

Thanks to everyone for their help. I understand the software side thanks.
However, I believe that some of the people involved in the music industry are highly skilled at all forms of hacking.
So I would like to double up my security. Thanks for the hardware recommendations.
I still am not sure if any is heavy duty enough. I am presently considering building a steel framed box that can be locked (using heavy duty key and number padlocks) around the chassis of the case, in order to prevent the case from being opened at all. Which i will also bolt to the concrete floor of my apartment.

If the data generated wasn't so big, and if the music software could be run on one of the new USB flash drive PCs, I would do that and keep the data and PC on a keyring around my neck at all times. 🙂 Keep my eye on it at all times, so no ah heck can steal it.
As musical ideas/works are worthless if everyone has a copy.

Hi Sammy, thanks for the link.
The only problem with this solution is the security lock that it uses.
These security locks can be ordered with keys for about $7
which renders the security aspect of the cases pretty useless.
They also can be drilled through fairly easily.
So think I will go with heavy duty padlocks and USB 3 removable drives.

How about a removable HDD caddy so that you can simply remove the HDD after the session and store it somewhere safe.

sure, thats also a good idea/solution. Although I read that many USB 3.0 devices are fast enough for multi track audio recording
so I am probably going to do this
while also locking up the case, as the case has a couple of DSP cards contained within
