[SOLVED] Best upgrade from i5 4460?

I really want to upgrade from my I5 4460, but my budget is 500 euros.
So i really need some help with my upgrades, or should I save up for a bigger upgrade?

I use it for gaming, i have an gtx 970 and a 144 HZ Monitor

without changing board I prefer i7 4790k which is not sure worth it or not, and if u will change the board also I prefer i5 8400+b360 or ryzen 2600x+b450.

It mean take i5 8400+b360 board (intel) or ryzen 2600x+b450 board (amd)
The motherboard choice is up to you. There a bunch of motherboard style and RGB thing nowadays.

AMD would be the best upgrade, as you need the extra cores/threads for modern games.
If you could get an I7-4xxx that would improve things, but 4 cores nowadays seems to struggle.

What do you use the pc for? At this point any decent upgrade will require cpu, motherboard and DDR4 RAM.
