Hi all,
I have a good GeForce 1050ti that has always done its job well but for some time now I have been noticing slowdowns and prolonged fan ons for some games that should not be graphically demanding (Wartales, Sniper Elite V, Crysis 3 remastd).
I play at 1080 resolution and have read about both solutions of gtx 1650 and gtx 1660 super ventus.
I am afraid that for the former, the upgrade will be insignificant (max 30%) and for the latter that I will have 8 pin connector problems.
Are there no other solutions ?

Which CPU, motherboard and PSU are you using?

typically the 1660s should be 100% faster, with an adequate CPU
I have a Intel i5-8600K @ 3.60GHz processor on a MSI Z370pro motherboard , PSU is a Cooler Master 750w.
Yes, you're right, 1660 should be best solution but
1. I'll need a 6 pin to 8 pin connector converter;
2. I can't find it to buy as new, only second hand

Your PSU should have the necessary cables for that. Typically it is a 6+2 pin connector like this. What is budget for said GPU?
