Hello,

I have a ASRock Taichi x570 mainboard lying around and want to build a PC with it.

What is the best value CPU I can buy at this moment?

Thanks in advance!

Thank you very much!

I'm not sure if I'd be willing to go for a 5800X3D yet. If not Im going to take a closer look at the 5500 and 5600.

Maybe I should open a new thread for this, but I am going to ask here for now:

GPU are quite expensive right now, if I am correct? Is it advisable to use a GPU I have lying around here for now and upgrade later? How to find a good GPU deal if I am willing to wait?
Look at the Ryzen 7 5700X.

Okay I will look at the ryzen 5700X as well. Also for my motherboard (AS Rock x570 Taichi) is RAM at 3600mhz maximum or is that CPU dependent?
As long as you get DDR4-3200 or better, you'll be fine. Just get whatever gives you the best price because you won't be able to tell the difference between DDR4-3200 and DDR4-3600.

If and when you upgrade to the R7-5800X3D, the 3D cache is so much faster than any RAM that there would be less than 1.5% difference between DDR4-3200 and DDR4-3800, let alone 3600.

I have 32GB of DDR4-3200 and no matter what I'm doing, my rig never feels laggy. Hell, even with my old R7-1700 and 16GB of DDR4-2400, it still felt fine. I only got 3200 because my X570 motherboard supports it and it was the cheapest DDR4 at the time. I haven't noticed any real difference up to this point between DDR4-2400 and DDR4-3200. Remember that the difference between 2400 and 3200 is double the difference between 3200 and 3600 so just get whatever gives you the best price.
