Hi everyone,

I'm trying to figure out how to improve the gaming performance of a PC I bought 6 years ago (i play mostly RPG and strategic games, can't wait to start playing Original Sin 2...):

Motherboard: Asus P8P67 Rev3.0 Socket 1155 Intel P67 DDR3 SATA3 USB3 ATX
CPU: Intel Core i5-2500 3.30GHz Socket 1155 95W GPU Sandy Bridge Boxed BX80623I52500
RAM: (2x4GB) DDR3 G.Skill Ripjaws-X F3-12800CL9D 1600MHz CL9 1.5v
Video Card: VGA Gainward GeForce GTX 560 Ti Phantom Core 822MHz GDDR5 408MHz 2GB 2xDVI-I VGA HDMI

I'm not an expert, so I was pointing my finger against the video card and thinking about buying a new one :)
Do you think it's the right choice? Which one should I buy? Or do you think I should throw away the whole thing and buy a new PC? 😀
Thanks in advance
Gio

Solution
I think u can go with the GTX1060 without problems.
Consider getting new mobo, cpu and ram if u want to go for a higher end cards like the 1070 or above.

Yeah sounds good.
May I know the wattage out of your power unit?
Should have no problem if u are running a 400W or above, and make sure it has enough space for the new card :)

Well, since you play only RPG and strategic games, unless you like to play GPU intensive games there's no point on getting a 6GB 1060. The ones I recommended are more than enough to play the games you like AT 1080@60Hz. Look at my PC, in signature. I only play GTA:V, CS:GO, Hitman 2016 and 2/3 more games. The 1050ti is awsome and I play at 1080 Ultra in most. Hope I helped.
