Best Video Editing Software Around $100 I Can Buy in Australia?

I'm getting into video editing after I purchase some stuff I want to get including the attachable Antlion ModMic 4.0 so I can record my voice and I was wondering what is the best video editing software that is decent value, can do a ton of stuff and is relatively easy to use. Also, I live in Australia so please recommend online stores to order from.

I currently use Handbrake/Windows Movie Maker while I record with Dxtory but it's really basic and I want to do fancy stuff that are on popular YouTube channels like jayztwocents, xcalizorz, linustechtips etc. (to name a few).

There are a ton of them like Adobe Premiere Pro and Sony Vegas but some of these software cost hundreds, if not thousands of dollars. Less than $100 is my budget for this.

I did a bit of reading and saw that there's one called CyberLink PowerDirector 13 Ultimate and also Sony Vegas Movie Studio 13 Suite, which are both between $100-130. Are any of these good and what should I pick?

I read that Sony Vegas Movie Studio Suite is relatively easy to learn as well, and although Cyberlink PowerDirector is apparently easier to learn the Sony one has a couple more features... so I don't know what to go with.

I'll mainly just be compressing videos while keeping high quality (though that does leave big file sizes - I don't know if Sony Vegas/Cyberlink PowerDirector has its own compressor), trimming out parts of videos I don't need and incorporate some sort of "previously what happened" as a sort of 10 second thing before the video - i'm not sure if Sony Vegas/CyberLink can let you do that - it's a pretty cool thing that TV series and some movies have.

Do I just buy the software directly from their site or do I buy these sort of software elsewhere?

I believe premiere pro 2014 is only $200 something dollars now. It is by far the god tier of video editing (along with vegas) but premiere is harder to use. Although premiere does give you more tools and is more professional.

Premiere is supposedly better than Vegas.
