Best way to build pcs for resell?

Hello. I have been wanting to get some money and i have been buying and selling pc parts.

Today i sold a older i5+gtx960 pc on fb marketplace and profited a fair sum of money, however it took weeks to sell.

Any clue what make a pc sell fast (other than cheap) and may allow me to get some profit?

I have looked around.

I7 3770
RGB tower cooler
Matx oem board
16gb ram
Gtx1060 3gb
128gb ssd
500gb hdd
SeaSonic OEM 500w bronze
RGB Windowed case
Wifi
Activated w10

All of this would cost me $375ish. Would it sell at $450-500?

Is taking older parts adding a gpu, fancy lights, and a nice case going to work?

Should i focus on newer parts?

Building PC's to sell at a profit is tough. You're competing against billion dollar companies, with much greater buying power than you.

And one of the big things that will get you is the valid Windows license.
That will cost YOU $100, which would need to be passed through to the customer.
So in your parts list above for $375...the actual parts are costing you $275?

I think the only way to sell computers and make a profit would be to start a "Origin", "CyberpowerPC" company and making your own case/color and logo. Then you can ask hundreds of dollars more for it right?

Everything, including a legit windows 10 key is $375.

I know if i build new pc, i could easily outprice companies like cyberpower.

Can you even buy the Ryzen 3 2300X yet? I do not see that CPU anywhere to be sold. It was supposed to be out OEM March 3rd.

Yes. We can frequently give the exact same or better parts list for much less.
I've done it myself. $2400 CyberPower = $1800 actual parts, incl the OS, etc.

For a one off system for yourself, no problem.
The task is to actually sell more than one. Build time, advertising, shipping, etc, etc, etc.
