best way to repair broken wire on Headset mic

Can anyone help me out by explaining or a guide on how to properly diagnose and repair headset or a broken wire ( Not 100% sure yet).

You have to find what wire and where its broken. In most cases you can only do that by pulling the headset apart. Which usually wrecks it.

So in most cases its not possible to make a repair.
