best way to upgrade my pc with 100ish dollars?

I'm not looking to make a beast pc mainly just to get this bottleneck out of my system.

Gtx 660
intel core e6600
4gb ddr2 ram
msi p6n sli
500watt psu

This is sort've a hand me down pc.
I am currently thinking about getting a ASUS P8H61-M le with a i5 2400 and 8gb hyperx ram, Was going to gt a g3258 but I think the i5 beats it. Just want some opinions. Thanks!

well going with the i5 /mobo/ram is definatly the way to go in this case, it will let you gtx660 to breath better.in any case.
but you mention 100 $ that upgrade will be worth more than that. if you m ean after the trio upgrade then get a better video card.

The most satisfying performance upgrade for $100 would be to convert your C drive to a SSD, likely 240gb.

Im buying used and it gives me alot of breathing room, plus I already have the ram. If I was going brand new i would probably get a pentium g3258 and oc it.

I have to disagree. I think the best thing I can do at this point is get a new cpu that wasnt made in 2006.
