Ok so straight up if you know the best way to compare motherboards please leave the link in the comments.
Recently I've been looking at Motherboards and comparing them manually to mine, Pcie, Usb 3.0 slots that are available, Led connectors etc. Basically what I need in a motherboard as I'm upgrading some components soon and need to see if it has more slots and more usb 2.0 and 3.0 slots for me to use.
If anyone has a good recommendation please let me know or if you know your motherboard is better then GA-B150M-D3H DDR4 please leave that in the comments aswell.
I appreciate the help,
Thanks Chris

It sounds like you already know what to look for. First decide what you intend to do with it. Then decide of what type and size of case you want to put it in. Unless you are wanting a real small PC, then I would recommend a mid tower. With that you can pick just about any size of motherboard. You will have to settle for either AMD or Intel processor. I would suggest Intel.

Unless you want multiple graphics cards, there isn't a lot things to look for. I usually look for a couple of PCI Express x16 slots. I would suggest the socket for the latest processor .

Then look for specific things that you want. Do you want a gaming motherboard equipped for overclocking? Or is a regular middle of the road (and cheaper) motherboard...

Another thing that I would recommend are LED diagnostic displays. They really help if you end up with a problem.

An aspect that may also interest you is a quiet case. In which case look for a motherboard with many 4-pin fan headers.

If you are interested in liquid cooling the look for a case that supports radiators.

Thank you Terry, I just needed some extra clarification about it all. This helps me a fair bit just need to get that extra money set aside for the higher end gaming motherboards but your advice helps me. I'm gonna go a mid tower I'm leaning towards the Corsair Carbide Series 270R or the MasterBox Pro 5 RGB not sure just yet. And I haven't decided on a motherboard yet but do you know any high end motherboards that support I5 6500 I'm expecting to find a lot that I need but do you know any to help me on my search. If not I appreciate the comment !!
