So i want a new gamer desktop for about 800 ish if i can but where should i go online to build?

I dont want tobuild my self because this is my first one, i dont want to mess it up, and im want the warrenty.

Toms Hardware of course!
Newegg.com id also great.

Honestly though it's easy and can exhilarating.
I remember paying a guy $40 to just format and install a HDD...
If you don't like the experience, you won't ever have to do it again, and likely can send back most/all of the parts for a full refund (less shipping).
If you do enjoy building, and savour the better price/performance, then you'll be more than happy you did.

Everyone here at Toms will gladly help you, even if it means leading you step by step live via a messenger with a webcam. It'd be fun for us also.
Most gear comes with a 1 year+ manufacturer warranty.

EDIT: Forgot to ask the crucial question; what will you use the system for? For example, HP is nice, but don't expect anything for under $1000 to be any good at gaming.
With places like Ibuypower, you can choose if you want a weak processer and limited HDD space and RAM for the sake of a better VGA card for gaming.

£800 or $800?

tbh building is so much cheaper than getting it built for you, unless you go on ccl, £50 for them to build your pc for you. You choose the parts completely aswell.

for $800 your talking P2 build, or core 2 duo E7 off the shelf. for £800 decent i7 build, good P2 off the shelf.

@ Anamaniac - Wow that is really nice of you guys!!

@ LandynSilence - Before I ran into tomshardware via a google search, I was googling for ibuypower.. Just google "ibuypower sucks" scared me from buying from them, but there were some good reviews.. Just seemed too much of a risk. Finding this forum opened up a whole new world for me and I am now in the middle of building my own system, it came out very cheap compared to having, lets say, dell build one for you.

my old computer was a dell, no problems with it. My friend has alienware and does have random shut downs and its brand new. I guess it all just depends, some people will rave about a company, others stay away.

I chose OTHER - build your own.

Ps. Im pretty sure that:

dell = alienware

and

ibuypower = cyperpowerpc
