I'm moved into my new house and am in a bit of a quandary.
Here's my computer setup: office in basement, HTPC in living room on ground floor that relys on a lot of streaming video, modem/router in family room.
i upgrading my old linksys wireless G router to a new wireless N router. I need two adapters and a good wireless router <$100.
I am a huge gamer and video streamer and since it is not possible to be hard-wired from where I am at, I need a strong wireless solution.
Do I need a router that supports gigabit ethernet? Should I buy those gamer-specific wireless-N routers or is that just a marketing scheme?
I've been trying to understand networking lingo but it's definitely not my strong suit when it comes to technology. Please direct me to the best bang for buck router. Thanks everyone!
