Hey guys so im looking for the best budget x570 mobo for a ryzen 3600 or 3700x (havent decided which one yet)

Hey guys so its impossible for me to choose if i should get a b450 tomahawk max msi for 120€ or if its worth it to pay more and get the x570 gigabyte gaming x rev 1.0 mobo for 175€.For a ryzen 3600

Guys which of the two motherboards should i go for msi b450 gaming plus Max or tomahawk max both at the same price.I dont think x570 are worth it thats why imgoing for the b450

The B450 gaming plus and Tomahawk are nearly identical.
The Gaming plus has 2 extra SATA ports, a few more USB A ports, and 1 extra PCIe x1 slot.
The Tomahawk has a USB-C and bigger VRM heat syncs.

I would go for the Tomahawk max. Most people seem to be buying the tomahawks, which I would think means MSI is more inclined to support that board with BIOS updates.

Alright ill go for the tomahawk max. Will it have support for any newer zen series or will it have no problem with a 3700x or 3900x if i want to upgrade earlier? Is there any reason to choose the more expensive x570?Also the tomahawk max will work perfectly with this cpu right? No need for a bios update

The B450 Tomahawk MAX will support all 3rd generation Ryzen processors. It will have no problem with a 3700x and a 3900x should be fine.

All X570 will support PCIe 4.0 which the B450 tomahawk does not. Also, X570 motherboards will handle 12 and 16 cores better than a B450 Tomahawk MAX would. In theory, they both will work, but you would want some airflow over the B450 tomahawks VRMs.

I see thnx for the help.Would you say the extra price difference would be worth it for the x570?

No current graphics cards will see an improvement from PCIE4 over PCIe3.
The only current hardware that will benefit from PCIe4 is really fast PCIe4 SSDs, and even then the difference isn't mind-blowing to your average user.

In the future, PCIe4.0 will benefit performance slightly on video cards.
