Dendrotoxin Deluxe

Dendrotoxins : are a class of neurotoxins produced by mamba snakes (Dendroaspis) that block particular subtypes of voltage-gated potassium channels in neurons, thereby enhancing the release of acetylcholine at neuromuscular junctions. Because of their high potency and selectivity for potassium channels, dendrotoxins have proven to be extremely useful as pharmacological tools for studying the structure and function of these ion channel proteins.

Bemused Fred's REAL AMD budget build: ACCEPT NO SUBSTITUTES

Since when did $750+ become "budget"? Let alone those pushing $1000. Shame on y'all, I can't find anything below $650 on this list!

I'm gonna do a budget build, and I'm gonna do it the ol' fashioned way, with a clear $500 budget. That's a REAL budget build! Not that you young whippersnappers would know anything about that. Now back in my day, we had to build it with only 3 bucks and a dime, and we had ride the horsecart down to the general store, with twenny pouns'a boot leather and then we *begins rambling incoherently*....

PCPartpicker list

CPU: FX-6300 6 cores, 3.5 GHz, 4.1 turbo ($119.99 from newegg, part of $15 combo deal with graphics card)
CPU cooler: Cooler Master Hyper TX3 ($14.99 from Newegg, with $5 rebate)
Motherboard: Asus M5A78L-M/USB3, micro-ATX AM3+ motherboard ($54.99 from Newegg with $10 rebate)

Storage: 500GB 7200RPM Seagate HDD ($54.04 from Amazon)
Graphics: Sapphire HD 7870 GHz 2GB ($169.99 from Newegg, with $5 rebate, part of $15 combo deal with CPU)
Case: Thermaltake VL80001W2Z ATX mid-tower ($29.99 from newegg)

Since when did 500 become budget? Shame on you Bemused_Fred, I don't see a single build under 400$, so I'm creating one, the ol' fashioned way. This isn't going to give you awesome fps on crysis with the highest settings, but that was not it's purpose, the purpose was gaming on a budget.

Ram is overclockable, so is the APU, so that should give you another extra 10% speed. SSD was tempting, but if this was budget it was not necessary. I was aiming for a 350 budget, a VERY low budget, sadly I was not able to reach this target. If you really needed to save money, don't buy a case, don't buy a heat spreader(use stock), salvage a PSU from your workplace(with permission ofc, also try and grab a monitor, a mouse& keyboard while you're at it, it happens that at my work place we have at least a dozen 5 year old computers they are just throwing away and at least fifty pentium4 and Athlon computers), and drop the optical drive. BOOM, 77$ saved, and coming closer to 300$

you forgat a main hardrive, you cant do much with just 32 gigs of storage sense your OS will take a good portion of it.

Yeah and SSD caches are generally useless from my experience - you need a primary HD to begin with, and even when properly setup they don't really work as advertised.
