Hey guys,
I'm planning on upgrading my PC but I am unsure on how to distribute the amount I spend on each part. Currently I have a 6700k CPU and a Samsung 850 Pro SSD, and I am doing some video editting and AI programming. Would it be better if I get a Samsung 950 Pro for the better write speed at 1500mb/s or should I upgrade the CPU to a 6800k for the extra 2 cores? Thanks for the help in advance !

Neither. The 6800k will mean a new mobo, it's a different platform. The 6800k is lga 2011-3, the 6700k is lga1151.

SSDs are fast enough, you'll be shaving a few minutes off an hour long render at best.

Some programs respond better to faster cpus, so OC would be an option possibly, some programs respond to greater ram amounts. For a start, you might want to look into exactly what resources the programs you use actually benefit from and go from there. Might be that the best use of funds is a better monitor with higher resolution.
