Hi!
I recently bought the beyerdynamic dt770 80ohm version but it sounds too low on my onboard soundcard. My motherboard is Msi Z170A gaming pro.

Do you know If I can configure something on the motherboard to get this thing louder?

If not, what's the best headphone amp under 120€ that I can buy to drive these headphones to a louder volume?

It's because on csgo, at max volume and in some music the sound is pretty low, and I can't hear the footsteps too easily, and I can't enjoy the music as I want.

You do not want a DAC but thinking of getting DACs.

Fiio e09k is a DAC unit too.
DAC comes usually also wih a power amp.
You can plug e09k with a usn to your pc..this way..you are not using the on-board soundcard.
Here, where I live E09k and E10K are quite similar in price.
I am confused.

I dunno about Schiit Magni 2. I can not find it here, where I live.
Hello... Typically the 80 ohm (high impedance) versions are for use in Studios, with Larger Power Amps, and driving multi users/phones, in parallel with them.

My Low cost suggestion is... taking the output of the sound card and sending it to the input of a 25-100 watt Pawn shop/garage sale/receiver... I got a basic 100Watt stereo NEW SONY receiver for <$100 US and use the CD/DVD/TAPE inputs to drive PC/Mixer/DAW/Headphone Audio in another room... You Just need more Power (voltage) to Drive these kinds of "impedances"... the small chips on the MB's are not designed to do this. B /

80Ohm is not going to sound good with the on-board soundcard.
Even 32Ohm is already at the border.
You need a better headphone amplifier+dac, it does not matter if it is internal e.g. ASUS Essence STX II or external e.g. FiiO E10K Olympus 2.
FiiO E10K Olympus 2 should cost below USD150.

I'm on a low budget so, the DAC is off my budget. My onboard soundcard has a decent sound, only lacks power to drive my 80ohm headphones. So, can I buy just an amp and plug in directly to the onboard soundcard with an rca to jack 3.5 cable? If so, which amp do you recommend?
I'm thinking on the Schiit Magni 2 or the Fiio e09k.
What do you think about those ones?
