edit - never mind, seems to have resolved itself after I ran the Origin "repair" function. *
On a new build, I had installed Battlefield 1 to play around on. Everything was running fine. I realized I had not set my RAM/XMP to run at the correct speed (they were running at 2400, set to 3200.).

When I did, suddenly the cutscenes run double time. Any idea what's going on? Task Manager performance tab confirms the RAM is at 3200, nothing else was changed other than Origin just updated as well.

Thoughts? (system is Asrock B450M Pro4, ryzen 2600x, Sapphire RX 580 Nitro+ (currently set to the slower setting), 2 8 gig modules Team Vulcan X 3200.)

I would advise to keep your BIOS up to date and input timings, frequency and voltage (as per the advertised speeds) into your BIOS manually.
