BF2 crashes

I don't know whats wrong. I've bought bf2 today. I've installed it. Upgraded it. My video settings were detected to medium. I changed them to high. And the game worked fine. Then when I quit the game and I wanted to enter it again i got an error saying bf2.exe encountered a problem. Everytime i restarted my pc it worked. But when exiting and entering after it always crashes. I've changed the settings to medium and still same ****. I've reinstalled it too!! THis should run on my pc without problems . Please help. I'm not pc buff.

2 gib ram

im guessing that bf2 is closing down properly after closing the game down the first time press ctrl+alt+del and check to see if the process is still running.

Mine will hang and the exe will still be running sometimes when I shut it down. If I kill the process it works fine then. BF2 does that because it is so resource intensive it can take a while to kill off all processes.
