BF3 Crashing to Desktop

When I playing the game with just lagg them bloop it shows my desktop with the game still running in the task bar and I have to end the process to make it close. I am SEVERELY getting mad because it happens EVERYDAY. I fixed the issue with the game crashing my drivers by bumping up the GPU voltage to make it stable. Any suggestions?

Well the game is pretty bad for that, crashes on me too occasionally. I managed to reduce the amount of crashing by running a bunch of stress tests on my system, and for me I determined that my RAM was just a little unstable. I bumped my DRAM voltage a tick and haven't had many issues since.

It does CTD here and there, but it's much better. So I'd suggest you check if you're totally stable.

Also do you have the latest GPU drivers?

About the drivers, I downloaded the latest beta drivers no issues as of yet not even minor artifacting which would happen occasionally. I have stress tested my system and all is stable, the only thing I don't like is the CPU temps get up to about 58c when playing bf3.

Well 58C isn't bad, but for a stock i3 that seems high - or are you OCed?

If stock, you may need to redo the cooler mounting with some new thermal grease.

You can't overclock the i3 I have, I'm running the stock cooler iv have seen it max at about Core 1 58c, Core 2 52c. I won't start worrying until I get in the 60 -65c range. I don't really want to have to fuss with then push pins on the Intel cooler that thing is cursed and a pain in the butt to install.

I got a BF3 CTD today. Only played for about an hour, happened while loading a new map. I think the game is just slightly unstable still.

I still think is just an driver issue, are you running and Nvidia GPU?

Nope I've got a pair of 5850s.

Well, I do have an Nvidia GPU for PhysX, but it doesn't do anything in BF3 😉
