Hello,

ever since the a few days BF4 has been causing autorestarts.
no other games do this, nor does prime95 or memtest.
everything about the hardware checks out perfect.
the first fix was reinstalling BF, this worked for about 2 days (4 hours of gameplay)
I'd rather not do this everytime I want to play for a while...

anyone else having issues since the summerpatch/nightoperations?
what else can I check?

Solution
Welcome to the club ... tho it's not a very exclusive club ... everyone is in it.

When my son plays BF4 on my box, her does the following:

a) Reboot into BIOS, If in the Extreme Gaming Profile (4.6 Ghz) or Workstation profile (4.5 GHz), load the "Stock Profile" (4770k), save and exit.
b) Once into Windows, open MSI Afterburner and select "Profile 1" stock settings.
c) Play the game... and still he will crash to desktop after about 2-3 hours.

No other game does this except for Witcher 3.... it doesn't like any VRAM OC so keep a separate profile for that. For all other GFX cores (SLI) have 26% OC / 22% on memory.

This has been this way since day 1.

well thanks for that, although not helpfull, at least I know I'm not alone I guess?
mostly pissed off that it made me worry about hardware again, I monitor everything so closely and then one stinking game makes me question everything for no reason.
bf worked fine for me up to a few days ago tho..
just reinstalled, let's see if it works again now...
