May you help me decide which to buy? Also, will I need certain specifications on my power supply to ensure that these run? Because I've been reading reviews by people and several say that they've had to return theirs because of their power supply. I don't even know how to check what power supply I have and if it'll be able to run. I have a Dell Dimension 4600 but I believe there's a different power supply in it than the one Dell gave me (because that one died).
These are all AGP cards.

i had a 7300GT in 2006. in simple, the only games that it can barely play
with min details are all released 2yrs ago.mayb one if ur being too kind.

1600 pro will be able to play most games with medium settings and at a screen siz of 1024x768. beyon that its no good. 1650pro will be a bit better.

if u wana play games i suggest u get 3850.it will require 420 watt psu min.but it wil pla almost everithin.
if you are willing to play at low detain i guess u could get 3650 or 2600xt which is of the same class (more or less) as 1650 and i believe is a better option due to dx10(.1). 350 to 400 watt PSU required.
if u r not into gaming , 7300 would be fine. psu requirement is almost nothing. i ran ma old 7300gt on a non brand 300W

If you really want to go with one of those go with the 1650 Pro.

Well I'm not even going to be using the computer that this graphics card will go in. I just want to replace my Nvidia FX 5200 that got fried. So I really want to stay below $85 for this. My younger brothers are, however, going to be playing games on this. But I think the ones that they will play will be EA Sports games like NBA Live 08, Madden, etc. I'm hoping I can have this graphics card last this computer for at least 2-3 years more until my parents finally decide that it's time to buy another computer.

and it's from a really great company and most likely will not require to possibly replace your PSU.

however, if your looking into an upgrade go with the 1650 Pro card, but it may require you to get a new PSU.

go with 3650. u can find one less than $69. plus its power management is better than 1600 or 2600.

Yeah, I was looking for an upgrade. But new PSU? Aw man are you sure? I have PC Wizard 2008. Does that tell you what your PSU specs are? 3650? Does it come in AGP format?

Edit: Also, I live in Canada and Newegg doesn't ship here. Sniff. I searched tigerdirect.ca for ATI 3650 AGP but they only have PCI-E, which my computer can't support. Still looking...I may just go with the 1650 Pro then.

I think the easiest way to see what the wattage is for your PSU will be to crack open the case a reading the label. Generally the overall wattage is located on the bottom of the label.

And yes the 3650 does come in AGP format. However, seeing as tight your case is, i dont know if it would fit. :/

I'm not sure I've never owned one. Well lets get a basic idea of what is inside the computer.
How many hard drives does it have? Optical drives? RAM sticks? And we'll assume that the 1650 will be in there. and a P4 3.0

3650 or 1650pro, both has a min requirement of 400 written on the box. but i thing u will be ok with ok with 350W branded PSU provided u dont have a power hungry processor lik P4 or pentium D

Sorry for the super late reply. I found out that my PSU gives 400W. But it is a P4 processor...So is there a great chance that it'll just die fast? Because if so, maybe I should get the 1600...unless that has the same PSU requirements.

"So is there a great chance that it'll just die fast?"- LOL. thats hard to say Even if it did it's possible to get a new mobo and just migrate all the stuff over (CPU, GPU, & Ram).

Yeah i'm going to guess that the 1600 and the 1650 Pro are going to require roughly the same power. The 1600 may take less, not sure.

However, if your really hoping for it to die then go 1600. It's for your younger brothers right? I dont think they will care which one you get. They just want it to work and you'll be a hero in their eyes when it does. 😀
