Announcement Bidding Farewell... sort of?

Hey everyone,

I've let the powers that be know, and now it's time to let the forumites know. This will be my last week as a full-time Future / Tom's Hardware employee. I'm heading elsewhere (not a GPU company), but I may do a few more freelance GPU reviews in the near term — because, frankly, there's a ton of stuff to do on a review and there's next to zero chance anyone could take over from what I've put together in time for the 5060 and 9060 XT launches. We'll see.

Anyway, I've been with Future for ten years, since May 2015. I started with Maximum PC (RIP), and that website got absorbed into PC Gamer a couple of years later. Then I transferred over to Tom's Hardware in 2020 and covered all the Ampere / RDNA 2, Ada / RDNA 3 / Alchemist, and Blackwell / RDNA 4 / Battlemage GPU launches. Pretty much every single GPU launch has been an all-nighter trying to get as much testing as possible done in time for the review. It's fun, and stressful... and hasn't quite paid the bills. (Yay for inflation!)

So I got a job offer that I basically can't turn down, and it should be an interesting adventure. I'm excited about the opportunity (and was actively seeking options), but I'm not going to say where I'm going just yet. Maybe keep an eye on my social feed if you know where that is and are curious. It is a company anyone who regularly reads TH will know by name.

I'm not going away completely, or at least that's not my intent, but I wanted to thank all the positive commenters and supporters of Tom's Hardware and my graphics card reviews and coverage. As for the haters: You've all been on my ignore list for ages! 😛

Best of luck to the team! Or as Douglas Adams might put it: So long, and thanks for all the GPU-fish. LOL

I haven’t been on the forum long, but I enjoyed reading your GPU reviews. It’s sad to say farewell. Will you still be on the Forum, or will you be going away from it completely?

Oh, man. I didn't see this before you posted it in the places where I usually lurk. Sorry.

Thank you for your dedication and efforts through out all these years. For taking criticism and comments (even the less favourable ones) head on and addressing them with your due dilligence. Your* data has always been really good and properly explained, so I'll personally miss your take on all-things GPUs*.

I hope it goes well with your new ventures.

Regards.

Thank you for all the reviews you did over the years and I wish you the best in the future. I hope you consider creating some video content on your YouTube channel but I will try to find out where you end up next.
