Hello there
With the recent reveal of Borderlands 3 I have decided to do a full play through of borderlands 2 but the performance I am getting bothers me quite a bit I am playing on 1440p resolution with a 144hz monitor settings maxed out but physx set to low and I am getting drops fps below 60fps in most locations these drops baffle me because I remember few years back I played the game on nvidia 760 and i was getting 60+ at all times
My current rig:
Intel i7 7700k 4.2ghz
Nvidia 1080ti evga overclocked
16gb DDR4 RAM
windows 10

Are you sure that you constantly got this many frames on your old system ?
This seems to be normal. I think this is becasuse of the way this engine handles CPU threads, alot of my friend who also have pretty beef systems share same problems. I hope that they will improve the technical side of things with Borderlands 3. it seems like this game is just a cheap conole port with bad PC optimization.

My System:
R5 2600@ 4.2ghz
Nvidia 1070Ti MSI
16gb DDR4 RAM @ 3200MHZ

There are numerous discussions about the poor optimization of the Borderlands games for PC. Steam is riddled with people who owned GTX 1080's and GTX 1080 Ti's having issues with the game. You will have to remember that this game was released over 6 years ago, and it's not likely that a lot of optimization is going to be put into the game in 2019. Here is a video that could help you get some performance if you are willing to try. They worked for me but I'm not using a GTX 1080 Ti. The link below:
