Big noob first time pc builder - WATER COOLER PUMP CONNECTION (CPU HEADER?)

Hey Guys

I recently bought the kraken x61, and I have a small problem.

There is two fans that come with the water cooler which I have connected onto my motherboard. One is in the CPU header 2 and one in the system fan.

The pump also needs a connection, so I put it in the cpu header 1.

I NEED TO KNOW IF THIS IS RIGHT OR DO I HAVE TO SWAP THEM SO BOTH CPU FANS ARE CONNECTED IN THE CPU HEADERS AND PUMP CONNECTOR IN THE SYSTEM FAN!!

Both CPU fans to the CPU headers. Get an adapter to hook the pump up directly to the power supply. System fan headers are not meant to handle the amperage of a water pump. I recommend adapting from Molex to the connector on the pump.

pump and fans appear to use motherboard fan ports. then SATA and USB also for power, LED control, etc. from what i have read about this and using my own AIO coolers i would use the CPU1 header for pump and CPU2 or other 4pin port for the PWM fan hub.

That's looking for a CPU_PWR connector, which is likely rated for a higher amperage than a CPU FAN header. I've damaged boards before by connecting pumps to fan connectors. I recommend OP doesn't do that and end up damaging his board.

the pump should only be reading data from the port it is using. it is powered by it's SATA connection.
