Question Big problem with background noise when using Microsoft Teams ?

Hello all,

I`m currently working form home and I use Microsoft teams a lot, and I have a big problem with background noise.

How can I stop the background noise from being picked up by the microphone?

Is there a product I can get to help with this?

Generally speaking, background noise is going to be the fault of the background noise and mic itself. What are you using for your microphone?

If you're not already using one then get a headset with mic. Using an open mic with meetings is always going to be problematic.

There are noise cancelling headphones which will filter out white noise.

I'm using the microphone on my Logitech 1080p Pro Stream Webcam. How much difference would a headset and mike make?

And that's your problem, an open mike that picks up everything in the room. The boom mike on a headset sits only an inch or so in front of your mouth. Massive difference.

Of if you already have a headset you like, just get a nice microphone with a carotid pattern.
