I built (with much help from these forums, thanks!) a budget system that could also do some light, non-4k gaming (so far somewhat older games like Battlefield 1 and Red Dead Redemption 2, as well as really older stuff). Looking forward to an upgrade path, which component do you think would be most advantageous to replace first; i.e. which is likely to be a bottleneck/limiting factor first?
  1. CPU - Ryzen 5 2600X
  2. Motherboard - Asrock B450M Pro4
  3. Memory - 16 gb Team Vulcan Z 3200
  4. Storage (1 Corsair P1 ultra m.2 NVME pCIE @ 512gb; 1 Sk Hynix Gold S31 1TB 2.5 Sata 3SSD; 1 3TB old hard drive for media storage)
  5. Graphics - Sapphire Nitro+ RX 580 8GB
  6. PSU - Corsair CX650
Any advice greatly appreciated. I don't have a current need for upgrade, but am always keeping an eye out for deals, and would like to focus on the item of most necessary upgrade. (to note, I know there is a standard "upgrade" request template, but in reading it, it didn't seem to fit what I was asking..i.e. I'm not asking for specific recommendations on parts., just general advice on upgrade path)

Your rig seems to be pretty evenly balanced for now. Since this is gaming centric, I would look for a better GPU first. Maybe in the region of 5700xt or 2070.

Thanks! It gets pretty poor results on 3dmark (like 4800s on Time Spy) , but seems to chew through games like Battelfield 1 at full settings (not 4K) with at least 70 fps consistently. Looks like I should have splurged on a better card.
