Bios beep code memory error.

Hello, I've just got my brand new pc and on startup it beeps once, I checked the beep code and it says it has a memory error. Yet the system runs fine and Windows memory diagnostic is telling me the ram is fine.

What could be causing this? The entire computer is brand new and was put together by a professional that has been building computers for over 10 years.

Many PC's beep one time at start up indicating power has been turned on.

A series of beeps usually indicates an error of some sort...

On gigabytes website it states that their ami motherboards beep once if it's detected a memory error. And their award motherboards beep once if everything is fine. My motherboard has an ami bios so it either means memory error or dram refresh failure. However my ram is brand new and Windows memory diagnostic says there are no memory errors :/

And it's not right at startup, it's a few seconds later just before it reaches the bios screen.

never mind.. one beep is normal on post for many systems.

It is a normal post beep no worries

Are you sure? My girlfriend has pretty much the exact same computer just with an msi board and hers doesn't beep at all.

It might be an option in the bios to turn off the beeps..

Not an option, she does not have a speaker...

My computer doesn't have a speaker either, but it still beaps

The speaker of sorts could be on the motherboard it self.. I don't think most cases have case speakers anymore.. But if it does disconnect it.
