Dear all, I hope you guys can help me, I am building a new PC at the moment and I am trying to booting it up at the moment. However, I BIOS beep code error. The error is a short continuous beep (I have counted and is definitely over 11 beeps), then the machine shuts down, reboot and repeat.

I have tried to removed all the HDDs, ODDs, GPUs (tried swapping the cards, or one card at a time or no cards at all, same beep code) and RAMs (tried to swaps the sticks but the problem continues (same beep code), tried to remove all the sticks which I will end up no beeps but will not boot) to see can I trigger other error beeps, but no luck at all.

My system spec is as follow:
Intel Core i7 6850K
Gigabyte X99-UD4P
Kingston HyperX DDR4 HX421C14FBK4/16
EVGA Gefore GTX 1070 (two cards)

Many thanks

Right, the final answer to this problem:
1. The motherboard do support the CPU
2. The version of this motherboard is 1.0
3. Since it is 1.0, the BIOS needed to be updated in order to be able to support the CPU

Solution:
Use a empty USB drive, download the latest BIOS, follow the Gigabyte website's instruction to upgrade the BIOS (use the white USB port). You don't need a spare CPU as Q-Flash Plus can update the BIOS without the need of the CPU or RAM.

Continuous beeps are Memory Errors - across pretty much all BIOS's.

You'd expect that beep code if you tried to POST with no RAM installed - strangely, this is when you're getting no beeps.

If I were to hazard a guess, I'd suspect there's perhaps a bent pin in the socket, which is impacting the memory controller. I'd suggest you reseat the CPU.

I tried to reseat the CPU, the same happened. The pins on the CPU seems to be ok.

I think I would try in breadboard fashion. Remove the board from the case and set it on an insulated surface. Connect just one stick of RAM in the first DIMM slot*, the CPU/cooler, the PSU, the monitor, gfx card, and keyboard. Start the system by momentarily shorting the two pins that the power switch would connect to. If no joy, I'd return the board.

* you might try all the sticks of RAM one by one to see if one is bad.

Just tried that, no luck either. I have left the CPU, and RAM only. Same beep code.

Is the board still under manufacturer's warranty? If so, I would start an RMA with Gigabyte. Not going to help much in the meantime, but at least you would have the board replaced at their expense.
Might be a dead BIOS chip. Is the BIOS IC removable? Is this a dual BIOS board that you can use the other one?

Right, someone on the other forum suggest to update the BIOS....... I do not know the version of the BIOS since I have never successfully to boot it up, so everything is basically following the manufacturer's website that the i7 6850K is supported (with the latest BIOS) while I was building the spec. Fortunately, the good old classic of updating the BIOS without the CPU is not a problem here. This motherboard support Q-Flash Plus which means I can update the BIOS without a CPU or RAM etc.... Will keep you posted.
