This is only my second build, so I'm still a tech noob. Here are my components:
AsRock AB350M Pro4 Micro MB
AMD Ryzen 5 1600 CPU
EVO Potenza DDR4 2x8GB
Western Digital Blue 500GB SSD
Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1080 GPU
SeaSonic G 550 PSU

I am testing outside of the case, CPU installed. With RAM installed, bios beeps were for keyboard error (no keyboard is installed), and Graphic card error.

Graphics Card was tested on a another MB and tested ok, also tested a different known to be functioning graphics card and beeping persists.

I originally suspected the MB was bad and sent for a replacement only to have the same bios beeps the second time.

Is it possible it is a CPU issue? What else can I try?
Thanks.

I have one of these ASRock boards, and no major issues. But I would recommend Gigabyte over Asus. Use quite a few gigabyte boards and they are always solid. But the sales rep at Microcenter recommended the ASRock. It seems like when I'm in there they many times have Asus boards as returns that have come back from the vendor/manufacturer.
I would have suspected the motherboard but since it has been replaced, the CPU is a possibility. If the GPU is working in another system it isn't that likely.

Are you certain that your RAM is good, have you tested it separately? Tried booting with just one DIMM in slot #1?

EDIT: Is your RAM the "Ryzen" branded set? Ryzen can be picky with RAM support. Here is the official list https://www.amd.com/system/files/2017-06/am4-motherboard-memory-support-list-en_0.pdf

Sometimes it is much faster to find an easy fix on here than wait for a manufacturer to respond to a support ticket once every three days.

However, you should definitely be doing that as well.

That's why you call them. No waiting.

I started testing with no RAM, got the bios beep for RAM, powered down, inserted RAM and the beeps changed to 6 & 8 (keyboard and GPU). When I went through this last time before the RMA, I can't remember if we tested the RAM on another MB or not.

My RAM is GeIL brand. I didn't know Ryzen might need something special. Does that happen a lot?

I think it has improved significantly with recent BIOS updates but especially at high speeds Ryzen can be picky. I would verify the RAM to be good in another system if you can.

I would also advise contacting the manufacturer as suggested.

karen519 did you find a solution to this? I have a very similar build with the same problem.
ASRock - AB350 Pro4 ATX AM4 Motherboard
AMD - Ryzen 5 1600 3.2GHz 6-Core Processor
GeIL - EVO POTENZA 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-2400 Memory
Samsung 500GB SSD
Gigabyte - GeForce GTX 1080 8GB WINDFORCE OC 8G Video Card
SeaSonic - G 550W 80+ Gold Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply

I took out the RAM and got beep codes 3 and 8 (Memory and graphics card). When I installed the RAM and booted, I got beep codes 6 and 8 (keyboard and graphics card) as you did. I've tried 2 USB keyboards with no luck, and I've tried putting the graphics card in each of the PCI-E slots. I'll try and get my hands on a PS/2 keyboard, but the graphics card seems like the larger issue.

AsRock support suggested a defective PCIE slot. I've RMA'd 3 boards now. Going back to ASUS.

I found my issue. Maybe yours is the same. I contacted GEIL, and they told me the ram model I bought was for an Intel processor. My model number is GPR416GB3000C15ADC. So I bought some Corsair ram instead and when I put that in my PC, it worked fine. Seems like the beep code was wrong in my case.
