My Acer Nitro 5 515- 55 recently got it's BIOS corrupted and when I enter crisis recovery mode it won't detect my usb drive with the bios file. Can anyone help me? I have tried it with a 4gb usb stick & a 8gb usb stick neither of them work. Would I need to buy a pios programer to fix it?

Can you walk us through how you initiated the laptop's BIOS recovery process?

I have tried it with a 4gb usb stick & a 8gb usb stick neither of them work.
Did you format the USB drives to FAT32?
