Ok so Lenovo x315 PC had a bios update so I ran the installer then it told me to restart my PC.
So I did and now it will not come back on. I get No signal on my monitor but the PC powers on

Fun fact: Lenovo fucking sucks

Installer? Could you give more insight to what steps you took? e.g. went to lenovo.com and downloaded this ..... etc.....

It would make it more clear if you could explain the exact steps you took.

accidently hit solution instead of reply but here is the link

I read the read me did 100% what it says.
It said Run the installer then open the program that was put in the C drive. It opened up a CMD prompt I typed in flash.cmd

then it showed updating bios in percentages. then it said Computer needs to restart (y/n)

I ordered an 860k and I asked the people on Lenovo forums if I could and they said updating the bios before putting it in would be a good option.

but if i need to buy a new motherboard im 100% ok with that I planned on doing it sometime down the line anyway.
Its just that ive never put one in before or anything thats the only reason I didnt build my own in the first place.

Okay. Try resetting the CMOS.

Here is a little guide on how to do that: http://www.howtogeek.com/131623/how-to-clear-your-computers-cmos-to-reset-bios-settings/

You can either use the jumper or the battery. After that try it again with your monitor.

Nope no luck 🙁 I left it out for 5 mins then put it back in but still no signal.
Like I said im down to getting a new Mobo its just that ive never installed one before is it difficult

We still have other options we can try, without having to buy a new motherboard. Try switching from your GPU's display ports to your motherboards integrated graphics.

google award and ami bios recovery you may be able to force the mb to recover. if not if the mb out of warranty check and google to see if the cmos chip on your mb is soilder on or is a 6/8 pin chip. if it press in chip all you need is a chip puller and a new bios chip that ebay may have.

Try disconnecting the hard drive and try again. Typically, we would take out most of the RAM except one stick, but we already know your RAM is perfectly fine. So lets just disconnect the hard drive and try again.

Check and see if your BIOS chip is removable. You could get another BIOS chip. Although at this rate, it might just be easier to buy a new motherboard.

Hi

Sometimes removing the cmos button battery for 5 minutes is not long enough

The cmos clear jumper should be next to the battery according to the user guide on Lenovo web site

what sort of video cable from motherboard to screen are you using ?
(vga dvi hdmi display port )
try another port if you have a suitable cable starting with VGA

do you have a spare screen or can you test your screen on a PC or laptop
(so you know the screen is not the problem)

Ask Lenovo technical support for advice
they will be aware of other methods of flashing the bios which may work or if there is a dual bios or a
test & repair service in your country which is cheaper than a new motherboard
