Grandson's PC overnight just stopped booting. (MSI 78m-e45...Don't know cpu...1050i gpu...8 gb ddr3 ram) Go to bios...cursor freezes. Restart...go to bios...cursor moves but shadow cursor doesn't...details on bios muddled and fuzzy and messed up...boot list includes "incorrect bin file" for every one. I pull cmos battery for 10 minutes...reboot. Same problem.
This PC also has a Kingston 500gb ssd. When it wouldn't boot I used my Windows Media creation tool and unplugged the ssd while booting from the usb. Plugged ssd back in after booted and loaded files (allegedly) onto ssd after clearing partitions. Media Tool loaded everything, restarted twice and got to "We're Getting Everything Ready For You This might take several minutes."
After a few seconds screen went black.
I assume motherboard is wasted, for some weird reason.
Suggestions anyone?
