Looking to bios MOD my video card. I have Windows 10 UEFI installed. Polaris says to change the settings on the MB to Legacy mode. If I do the Bios mod, will the card work on a UEFI system or do I need to reinstall windows in Legacy Mode? (i change the MB bios to Legacy and the system will not boot.)

While I've never done it with an AMD card, I've flashed a different BIOS on Nvidia cards and nowhere did anyone or anything say to mess with the system BIOS. I don't see why in any situation it would be necessary to mess with your motherboard BIOS to mess with the BIOS on your video card.

Polaris BIOS editor somehow break the UEFI compatibility, making your card show images on screen only after Windows has completely booted (lock screen). It means that if the AMD card is your video source, you'll be getting no POST image when booting your screen (and you can't go to BIOS either, unless you plug your monitor to internal graphics and maybe disconnect the external card).

It asks you to switch to Legacy for that exact reason. I have yet to find an editor that can preserve UEFI compatibility, if that's even possible.

Knowing that, you can keep UEFI and accept having no POST screen, and just switch to internal graphics if you need to enter BIOS.

I hope this helps people who ask themselves the same question.
