I went into the BIOS and tried to overclock my RAM (motherboard recognizes 2133mhz, I had a 2400mhz stick) and thought that was easy enough. When I booted my computer the next time, it said "overclocking failed, hit F1 to enter setup". So I hit F1 and just got a black screen. I tried shorting the CMOS and that got rid of it saying "Overclocking failed" but it still says "hit F1 for setup" and gives me a black screen. The next thing I did was just remove the CMOS battery and then short the CMOS again (just to be 100% sure) and I'm still getting the same message and same black screen.

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!

H110M-A Memory Specs:

2 x DIMM, Max. 32GB, DDR4 2133 MHz Non-ECC, Un-buffered Memory
Due to Intel chipset limitation, DDR4 2133 MHz and higher memory modules on XMP mode will run at the maximum transfer rate of DDR4 2133 MHz.

After clearing CMOS you should enter BIOS setup. Click F7 to go to Advanced Mode. Go to BIOS Exit Menu and select LOAD Optimized Defaults. If you have any custom BIOS settings enter them now. Save & Exit BIOS.

When clearing CMOS, be sure to unplug the power supply from AC power.

I tried to clear the CMOS multiple times and I still can't enter the BIOS. I still just get a black screen.

I know the CPU isn't overclockable, but I thought the RAM was. I didn't see that part where it would only run as 2133.

Do you have any solution for this problem?
