I'm looking for a good deal on a bios reprogramming service...I tried contacting T-Mod, but he hasn't responded in three days and time is money.

So anyway, are there any other good services out there?

PS: How do I remove the bios...do I just...yank?

No, no it does not post, and I cannot reflash it.

EDIT: To put it simply, I need someone with an EEPROM burner to reprogram my bios chip. Is there anyone else that does this besides TMod?
Edited by Decker87 on 11/25/04 04:18 PM.

Yes, there are several companies for that service. But you'll have to look for them.

What initially caused the problem?

In all honesty, it's completely my fault. I thought I had revision 1.2 of my motherboard, so I downloaded that bios and flashed it without even checking what revision it really is. It's actually.

That's surprising about T-mod. I e-mailed him on a Sunday night and explained my problem. He got back to me in less than an hour. I shipped him my chip on Wednesday. I had it back in my hands the following Monday. I live on the East Coast he's in Cali. I sent him several e-mails (several of which were stupid questions) during the whole ordeal and he replied to all of them.

How long ago was this?

EDIT: I've called every computer repair place in about 15 miles and none of them have an eeprom burner. Are there any computer repair 'chains' that anyone knows of that do this?
Edited by Decker87 on 11/26/04 06:13 PM.

you could call the mobo company, i did that once with an abit, i just sent them a 12 dollar check and a letter telling them what i needed and they sent a programed chip about a week later.
