Any recommendations? It posts as 'Unknown CPU Type 1250MHz.'

Cooled with a Thermalright SLK 900-U and standard 80mm fan.

The MB is defaulting to 100 MHz FSB. Clear the BIOS and try again. If
that doesn't do it, set the FSB to 166 MHz.

With that board, you MUST do it manually.

set your bus to 166 with the correct multiplier. Be sure to use the 5:4:1
divider.

The "Unknown CPU" is cosmetic and doesn't matter, but I bios upgrade may
include the 2800+. 1250 MHz is because the FSB is set to 100 and should be
166.

The one below is cooled with an $8 cooler.🙂

I don't get that option. It only goes as far as 1400(133). RAM is pc2700
(166). Maybe I need a BIOS upgrade or something.

CPU: User define
Ratio: 5:2:1
-Save exit, reboot-
CPU FSB: 166
Pick a suitable Multiplier (12,5)

If it's not working, upgrade bios.

Great, done that and it seems to be working OK at stock speed.

It's idling at 44 though (case temp 33). Is that a little high? I have a
case fan next to it (below psu) pulling in cool air and another on the side
blowing out the hot. I put the heatsink on (with Arctic Silver 3) about 20
hours ago.
