BIOS Setup for SATA

Has anyone configured a BIOS with all SATA drives?? I have two SATA HDs and a SATA DVD along with a floppy. My BIOS has them as IDE?? I can't seem to get the BIOS to see them as SATA.

which exact mobo?
many of them will show SATAs in the BIOS as IDE, it doesn't really matter.

Thanks Buff. I did a google on IDE and now realize that SATA is just a new version of IDE. Thanks for responding
