Bios unlock hidden settings

Hi,

I was wondering if I could unlock all hidden settings in my BIOS.

My computer is an Acer Aspire MC605
The bios version is: American Megatrends Inc. P11-A4, 2013-04-10

Why I want to unlock the bios is because I want to change the, safe temperature, auto shutdown for the gpu. If there's an easier way I would be happy to know.

There aren't any "hidden" settings which can be unloacked. Factory-built computers have a cut-down BIOS made for the PC manufacturer, it has fewer settings which can be modified compared to the BIOS on a retail motherboard for a DIY build. This is to stop the user "meddling" too much with the default settings and then expecting the manufacturer to fix it under warranty.

If you want a fully-customisable BIOS, build your own computer or get a local PC shop to build one for you.

So isn't there a way to change the temperature in which the PC auto shutdowns?

What I meant was like a hacked version of BIOS.

Most laptop BIOSs do actually have settings panes that cannot be accessed without modification, but it's a risky process to modify and reflash the BIOS to access them.

Doubt they have temperature cut-offs, though.

You can look for one, but the temperature for the automatic shutdown are typically set very high, and I wouldn't move it any higher. honestly you'd be better served to do a thorough cleaning of your heatsink.

Yeah I know that but my gpu shuts down already at 75 degrees.

It's a gtx 660 ti btw.
